Nic Cooper is a visual artist living in Snuneymuxw Territory, on Gabriola Island, BC. They have two sides to their art practice, creating in the studio, and the other, drawing in public places.
Their work references archival imagery of queer histories, current news images and stories as well as drawing in the places they go, pulling together a narrative of cultural memory and lived experiences.
